For my niece’s birthday I made a red cat from three knitted squares. The pattern is in Swedish, and I found a lot of help in a Swedish-English knitting translation. I also knitted a larger white cat, but finished it at about 1 am so I never got to take a picture before I gave it away to my friend’s newborn baby boy.
I let Frida play with the red cat to see if it was any good as a toy, and I must say it wasn’t an immediate hit… My niece has two beautiful cats, and I was hoping this red cat would give them some rest from a one-year-old’s curious hands!
As I mentioned, Frida wasn’t too keen on the red cat, but she has a red hat that she loves to put on. It’s a hand-me-down from a friend who gave us bags of clothes that her two daughters have used. Who needs a new hat when she can have this one?
