Care to use our new bathroom?

We’ve started renovating our new house. It may be hard to believe, but this will be our bathroom. On the picture you’re looking through some rotten beams and down on what will be the “technical room” of the house. Wish us good luck fixing up the old house :)

Frida and her cousin by the water, Easter 2011. We biked all the way to a beach at Lade where the kids could play for a while.

Capturing the star of the family

  • Posted on August 8, 2010 at 11:57 pm

As usual I took a gazillion pictures this summer. Many of them turned out pretty good, but I’m particularly satisfied with two taken of my niece who spent almost a month in Trondheim.

The portrait below is taken at a place in my parents living room where the light is excellent for taking pictures. There are windows to the left of my niece, but also windows a little further away on the right side. She always has a smile on her face, but I caught her in a moment where she was probably looking at something.

The second picture is taken at a coffee shop downtown – even though the background doesn’t reveal that at all! I caught her walking towards me, and I like that the colors in the background are neutral while her clothes are so colorful.

Have a great week whatever you’re doing :)

Happy b-day!

Happy birthday, grandpa! Hope next year will be as eventful as this one:

We drove very far and then took the boat in order to get to Tallinn, Estonia and babysit Stella. You ended up carrying both me and Stella at the same time.

At our favorite coffee shop you always drank coffee, while I got half of your bun – sometimes even more.

You often had me over for dinner, and sometimes I even got to spend the night!

We went to Oslo to eat some of Stella’s birthday cake.

We went to your summer house and I fell off the hammock.

You helped me get into the swing at the playground.

The best part of it all is that you retired, so now we can do all of the above even more often! Hope you have a great birthday in Oslo!!

Kath’s bachelorette party

A friend of mine is getting married this summer, and a couple of weeks ago we surprised her a Saturday morning. I took some pictures – that probably aren’t interesting to anyone but the ones that know the bride!

Vacation inspiration

As a summer vacation rehearsal, we spent the past weekend with some friends that live nearby Oslo. The first thing Frida did when we arrived at their house, was to pull out her iPad and show her little friend how to play angry birds.

The next morning Frida got up earlier than usual to attend a tea party.

We also had time to visit Frida’s little cousin.

They wanted to drive off to the closest playground, but didn’t get very far.

I hope you all had a great weekend too :)

May celebration

This evening we were looking at some pictures from last year, and I figured it was about time I posted a couple of pictures from May 17 before these pictures also become last year’s memories. Even though it was a cold and windy day, we managed to have a good time with family and friends. A big thanks to aunt M who let me use her national costume so the whole family could match. I really apreciate that!

Talking about old pictures… A while ago I found a picture of E with long blond hair, mullet style. Anybody interested in me posting that picture?
